Can you cut aluminum plate to a custom size?

What tolerance do you cut aluminum plate to?
Standard saw-cut tolerance is −0 / +1/8″ on length and width, so pieces arrive slightly oversize for machining to finished size. Thickness and flatness follow mill spec. Tighter is available on request.

Which aluminum plate alloy should I choose?
6061-T651 is the general-purpose choice for machined parts, fixtures and fabrication. 7075 is for high-strength parts such as airframe components and high-stress tooling; T7351 offers improved stress-corrosion resistance versus T651. 7050-T7451 is for thick-section aerospace structure. Cast mold aluminum plate (5000-series cast) is weldable and corrosion resistant, for tanks, enclosures, trailers and tooling.
